Fagor Automation has implemented the connection to Siemens systems (Sinamics,etc.) trough the DRIVE-CLiQ interface on its linear and angular encoders.
Fagor has been awarded the Siemens certificate for all its linear encoders series L, G, S/SV, and angular encoders with an outside diameter of 90, 170 y 200 mm.
Fagor Automation offers the widest selection on the machine-tool market and it is the only one offering absolute linear encoders of up to 50 meters with DRIVE-CLiQ interface.
The implemented solution consists in an external cable with electronics integrated into the circular connector that is good for the entire range of Fagor encoders. This aspect should be especially mentioned because its design is universal allowing a single product to be connected to both linear and angular encoders. It’s high protection degree, IP67, its small size and the 8-pin M 12 connection or direct connection to the Siemens DRIVE make it possible to install it even in very confined spaces.
Among its main characteristics, we should mention a resolution of 10nm on linear encoders and up to 27 bits on angular encoders. A special mention deserves the fact that this resolution is offered in a measuring travel of up to 50 meters and it is even available for longer lengths if our customers so require.
